As a Principal and Founder of Gordon Management, Mark shares leadership responsibilities with Thomas Orton and holds the CPA designation. Though he brings comprehensive accounting expertise to his role at Gordon Management, Mark concentrates his practice on property management, real estate, and asset management accounting functions.
Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in management from the University of South Carolina. Mark has over 20 years of accounting and operational experience in the real estate/property management field. He’s held multiple controller and management roles with both privately held and publicly held (REIT) property management companies, as well as, spending several years in a public accounting group auditing companies in the same industry.
When he’s not working with clients or expanding his knowledge of accounting, Mark loves to play tennis and enjoys time with his wife, Heather, and his 2 young children, Madison and Max.
Thomas E. Orton
CPA, Principal, Controller
As a principal of Gordon Management, Tommy shares leadership responsibilities with Mark Gordon and holds the CPA designation. Though he brings comprehensive accounting expertise to his role at Gordon Management, Tommy concentrates his efforts on property management, real estate, and client growth strategies.
Tommy holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Accountancy from Rhodes College. Tommy has over 10 years of accounting experience in the real estate industry, including public accounting where he focused on auditing affordable housing properties . In addition to his extensive accounting experience, Tommy was previously the practice manager of OMI's Risk Management Solutions division where he served as a consultant to Fortune 500 companies and other financial institutions.
In his free time, Tommy enjoys being active outdoors and spending time with his wife Jessica, and son, Thomas.
